LEADERSHIP. EXPERIENCE. COMMITMENT.
Servant Leadership
Have you ever had the opportunity to speak at a City Council, Board or Commission meeting? It was pretty scary the first time I represented Bradfield Village HOA at a Planning & Zoning meeting in Buda. It was just as scary the first time I spoke at a City Council meeting. However, knowing it was important for our community needs and concerns to be heard, I persisted. As Mahatma Ghandi once said, "the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
I am passionate about our City. I have dedicated my time and talents hoping that it makes Buda that much better. A few of my accomplishments are:
Served on the City of Buda Charter Committee (2017) - I collaboratively worked to assist in establishing Single-Member Districts and Qualifications for Mayor and Council.
Served on the City of Buda Historic Preservation Commission (2016-2018) - I was dedicated to ensuring that design compliance efforts were enforced to protect historic structures and celebrate Buda’s history while managing foreseeable growth.
Served on the City of Buda Human Services Grant Committee (2019 & 2021) - I made recommendations of approval for support grants. These grants were for projects/programs that address community needs in the areas of arts & culture, education & training, community development & community service.
Serve on the Buda Police Foundation Board (2021)
I have served on the Buda Economic Development Corporation since 2019 and currently serve as the Treasurer. I strive to be bold in my support of cultivating and creating opportunities for growth of small businesses in our community. I endeavor to foster open and honest communication about new development or expansion of businesses into our community. I am a strong proponent for creating partnerships that grow our City's ecosystem and helps keep taxes low. Whether you live East, Central, Downtown or West, we are ONE BUDA and
it's all about Us!
